Evening Thoughts

Evening Thoughts

A Poem by Marc

Sometimes
When the sun sets
In its basket of colours
I miss the sound of rain
Falling on the rooftop
And dripping on the leaves
Of the maple tree
That sits peacefully
Outside my bedroom window
Ruffled only by a passing breeze
Shaking only when stirred
When a raccoon
Wearing his thieving mask
Mounts the tree's trunk
To see how high he can climb

Oh, my. I love the ending. Calm moments of attention to natural nature detail. I like the patience within this piece
