Evening ThoughtsA Poem by Marc
Sometimes
When the sun sets In its basket of colours I miss the sound of rain Falling on the rooftop And dripping on the leaves Of the maple tree That sits peacefully Outside my bedroom window Ruffled only by a passing breeze Shaking only when stirred When a raccoon Wearing his thieving mask Mounts the tree's trunk To see how high he can climb © 2013 Marc |
