Bunnies

Bunnies

A Poem by Marc

The water's gone
Receding
Back to the ocean
Where it belongs
Those long lonely days are over
On the sandy beach
Warmed by the sun
Lays a marooned beach towel
Beside a smouldering fire pit
Remnants of last night's party
Little white bunnies
Dancing in the air
Tickling the thoughts
Flirting in the minds
Of secretly shy lovers
Sneaking timid peaks
Of each other from across the flames
As they try to hide
From their own hearts

Run white rabbit! Run!
Lol. Common native saying to make the fire smoke leave you alone!
Nice Marc!
