Trinity

A Poem by Marc

I saw you tonight
Your chocolate chestnut hair
Natural ringlets shining in the sun
Hazel eyes, memorizing
Checks flushed like red roses
With lips that taste Devine
Or so I recall
Smooth soft skin
With a fading hint of a tan
Tantalizing to touch
But I can't anymore

I saw you tonight
And my heart fell
Cause there you stood
The woman who taught me love
How to love
How to embrace love
How to share love

I can still feel your heartbeat
From our first embrace
Those many years ago
When we kissed and said goodnight
That perfect kiss
The one I never knew existed
Until you shared it with me

I trembled
Toungue tied and twisted
Seeing you smile
The hypnotic dazzle of your eyes
The silky softness of your voice
Yet I'm happy that we spoke
It gave me hope that maybe
Just maybe
we can clean the air
That pollutes our past
And become friends again
