SeagullsA Poem by Marc
A single picnic table
Sits along the breakwater Thieves Bay, Pender Island Sunshine has broken through The morning clouds It's warm rays dissipating puddles Left behind from the evening's rain Ferries and sailboats drift by Oblivious to my existence Floating onward To where rainbows end Leaving a wake Sliding to the seawall And fritters away Into the vast saltiness of the ocean While seagulls embrace The safety of a solitary floating log Drifting out to sea From last night's storm A sailboat reaches the wind ... I've got nothing to do today But smile © 2013 MarcReviews
