FamousA Poem by Jordan LescallettLabels don't show whats beneath the public eyeFamous He doesn’t like the word In fact he thinks it’s absurd It takes away from who he is And I don’t understand How you could take anything away From something That’s already had everything taken Except from the flashing camera’s And the followers on foot and social media He’s filled with gratitude And an essence of beauty And intelligence He has a charity for a little girl he met in Ghana He doesn’t like famous Because afterwards he could be considered a failure But how can someone fail who spends their free time Handing out pizza’s to the homeless He also looks at what people say about him Because since he’s ‘famous’ A lot is said about him I wish he didn’t have to look Or have to see what they say because he’s ‘famous’ Because he’s not to me So why should he be to you? © 2014 Jordan Lescallett |
