Megastory 2.2A Story by leroypowell3Jackie Chan and Uncle get involved in Kevin Chan's investigation.Previously: Hong Kong Supercop Kevin Chan took on an investigation into a terrorist group stealing a mystical weapon to use against The United States. Kevin thwarted the plot and sent the weapon away. "Good-bye! Thank you!" Jackie Chan waved at the departing guest. Creeping into the antique display shop Uncle looked around for missing merchandise. "Did they buy anything?" "No, Uncle." Jackie answered him lazily. "You are a terrible salesman!" Uncle bellowed. He lowered his voice to ask another question. "Did they steal anything?" "No, Uncle." Jackie kept the same tone. "It was the mail man." "Oh." Uncle peeped. "More bills." "Not this time." said Jackie holding up a box. With his usual rudeness, Uncle snatched the box and opened it, complaining only after he had broken the tape. "It had better not be a bomb or anthrax or..." "It's a book." Jackie observed as the item was being pulled out. "A very old book." Uncle added. "A book of magic." As Uncle studied the hardback, Jackie went for the box, hoping to find something else. "There's a note." He read it out loud. "Jackie, Uncle, keep this safe. Bad men will come looking for it. I will be in America soon to take it off of your hands. Your cousin, Kevin Chan." "Kevin?" Uncle chimed. They were both thinking the same thing. Kevin had become a Hong Kong ‘supercop’. Jackie had gone to the police academy with him, but archeology drew him away. Uncle was always so proud of Kevin and disappointed that Jackie didn’t follow through with his lawman ambitions. Uncle had always been closer to Jackie’s parents than Kevin’s so by default, he was closer to Jackie. Jackie’s parents wanted Jackie to have a good American education and sent him to live with Uncle when he moved to the United States. Kung Fu was the first thing Uncle taught Jackie and he hoped that Jackie would pick up on chi wizardry but it never even tickled Jackie’s interest. And so with almost nothing in common besides blood, the two enjoyed a strange relationship. But it was never without genuine love. "I will keep this book with my other spell books." Uncle volunteered. His eyes were still gleaming with pride thinking about Kevin. Jackie's cell phone rang and he smiled as he answers it. "Kevin! Wonderful to hear from you!" "Did you get the book, yet?" Kevin's voice was grim with concern. "Yes, we just got it!" Jackie said still jubilant. "I'm sorry I put you in danger cousin but I needed to get it away from me." "It's not a problem, Kevin." Jackie assured him. "Uncle is keeping it with his other 'unique' books." "I'm afraid it is a problem Jackie" said Kevin softly. "I recently captured a Middle Eastern terrorist who was planning to attack the United States. That book was a part of his scheme. Some of his men know that I sent it to you. They'll be coming for it." Understanding now, Jackie's joy was replaced with serious focus. "We'll keep it safe, Kevin." "I'll see you when I get there." was Kevin's sign off. As soon as Jackie put his phone away, a visitor entered the shop. He was clearly not there to buy antiques. "I am known as the Bald Bull. Feared in the boxing ring. Give me the package delivered to you and you won't suffer my bull charge." Stunned by the directness of his demand, Jackie could only mutter a one word response. "NO?" Backing his threats with action, the Bald Bull clenched his fists and charged at Jackie like... a bald bull.
