Eyes

Eyes

A Poem by Leran Vakem

 The eyes across from me

hiding the tormented soul

hounded by the past

yet once again stirring

willing to take the change

to trust another soul

Eyes calm yet holds

a storms fury, laughing

at things past

slowly moving to the

future unknown

to the soul

These eyes have known

sorrow, pain, insanity

yet it knows also

joy and a hope

undying

These eyes across from me

gave me courage

and I know

the time will come

for undying happiness
