Change

Change

A Poem by Lepadah

Unable to attach myself to change

I was forced

I needed to at least entertain the idea

Change like the seasons

With falls new beginning

Everything new

The walking amongst the leaves

Freshly plucked away by the wind

Yellow ones still soft with a slight crisp edging of brown

Sweeping the ground with no direction

Just everywhere

The breathless beauty of the Sourwood foliage

From asparagus green to a wonderful crimson

The multiplicity of change

I finally embrace

I AM READY

Loving the last song from the Cicadas

The knowing there will be fewer bees

And Mister Softee ice cream

The last call

"We all scream ice cream."

And I scream change

I am ready...

Change.. One small word can invoke thousands of scenarios and meanings. I recently went through a glorious "Change" and I love the way you have expressed change here. Your writing style is very smooth, concise and down right a joy to read.
