Do you remember

Do you remember

A Poem by SporadicMessanger
"

Short poem, not great, fast, first publish.

"

Do you remember when we were young

All the comic books

And the strange little songs we sung

All the funny looks

I remember fall’in out that tree

And how you followed

fell on top of me

Do you remember when we were young

All the summers

All the fun

I remember how we used to say

I’ll grow up

I’ll grow up some day

Do you remember when we were young

Said we’d start a restaurant

I remember all the recipes

And all the things you said to me

Remember how you were so brave

How you would never run away

Well honey I guess some things change

Cause baby that's definitely not the same

Do you remember when we were young

Do you remember all the songs we sung

Maybe baby we were singing this one

Just to a different tune

Love honest reviews, I acknowledge this isn't some of my best work, just needed a little something to test the waters for my first publish.

This one is really good I found it touching

This has a lot of elements - nostalgia, fun, melancholy, and a deep sense of leaving the past in the past. The final two lines sums it up so very well.
If this is a 'fast' one, you have a lot of potential.
Welcome to the WC.
