Survivorship bias

Survivorship bias

A Poem by leonard zinovyev
"

traveling in the direction where jet lag feels the worst was not a good idea...

"

swimming to escape

is still quite possible

traveling in the direction

where jet lag feels the worst

was not a good idea

rolling over to the back

is still possible

getting stranded short of the destination

drowning is still improbable

trudging through the sand

imagining that you have been sentenced

to life in prison

where you will have plenty of time

to reconsider things

swimming backstroke

in the sand

through and out of the sand

swimming back towards the wreckage

trudging on imagining

that you have deceived prison wards

into believing that you spend time

thinking about colloid hydrogels

consisting of fine granular materials and water

seconds before ignoring

the warning sign

that danger quicksomething sign

that danger quicksomething and water sign

and having that sinking feeling

that traveling in the direction

where jet lag feels the worst

was not a good idea
