I Can't Ride It Dad

I Can't Ride It Dad

A Poem by Ken Leonard
"

As my Son is preparing to be married, my mind often meanders back to the special events and milestones in his life and the part I played in them

"
I can't ride it Dad.

Yes you can, I'll hold you up.
You just peddle!
It's ok I'm still holding
Go on!
Peddle!
That's right - keep going!!
I'm falling Dad!!!
It's ok, I'm still holding - keep peddling!!
Go on!! Go on!!!
I'm doing it Dad!!!
Dad?!?
You're not holding me!!!

You're riding Son.

tugged at my heart strings. what father hasn't done that? I could've written it myself but you've done a great job of it. I enjoyed the read.
