Loyal Creatures

Loyal Creatures

A Poem by Lendura
"

For animal lovers

"

I have these little feet, and these little prints on the surface of my dreams.

I remember the sounds the creatures made, as if I was awake and having them so near.

The softness of their fur, I can feel it now, as if one brushed against me.

I see the coolness of their eyes, like a waterpainting that cried all it's color away.

Their bodies, my mind has them sketched out in brain waves.

Perfect, down to the last flea.

In my dreams, they sit and wait, their orb like eyes reflect wonderful memories that I can never forget.

They broadcast in my mind, a silent movie that only I can see.

I will never forget them, nor my loyal creatures that lay before me in this dream world, that I have become to fond of.

They're forever sketched in brain waves, perfect down to the last flea.

I love the beginning; it's very vivid and appealing. The entire poem itself has a nice flow to it, and it made me smile - I am an animal lover and this is very good.
