Remember

Remember

A Poem by lenamari

do you remember the night we fell from the ceiling?
we laid there laughing,
smiling like rainclouds.

do you remember the nights we fell through the floor boards?
the blood and the ashes,
fell from our gashes.

when the night comes around,
we'll be safe and sound,
we'll dance alone in this world,
like there's nothing else,
and we will become silhouettes.

do you remember the day we laid in those caskets?
familiar people walking with glasses,
their tears smelled of sadness.

do you remember the time we swam in the winter?
the aching pain was fluid,
the water tasted bitter.

when the lights fall down,
we'll be safe and sound,
we'll run away from this world,
like there's something else,
and we will be gone.
