Us

A Poem by lenamari
"

Nothing.

"
Sometimes when I’m miles from sleeping,
I paused and thought of you,
And where you’d gone.
And the music plays softly on.

There is no time behind us now,
We can make the world shine, too.
And the music plays softly on.

I broke my hands,
Climbing out your window sill.
The whole fall was soothing,
But the music stood still.

I sat there, and laughed with you,
And my hands ached sharply on.

I watched the stars fall out of the sky,
You are still sleeping,
But I’m laying still.

Sometimes when I’m miles from sleeping,
I paused and thought of us,
And where we’d gone.
And the music plays on and on.
