Daydream

Daydream

A Poem by lenamari

I watched the stars fall out of the sky.

The cut out shapes in the meadow.

I smelled the wars within,

the dead that sinks in.

The whole world rotates,

but I stand still.

Except the cut out shapes

on my skin, where my heart used to live.

This garden, seems so big.

But, eventually Winter will win again.

By the sounding sea,

my boat and I,

sailed endlessly.

Then the day began to wilt.

I sailed in the clouds,

my senses left me,

I was crying for people I never knew.

The reeds in the wind,

bow down to me,

as I melted in the silver sea.

I’ve slept my life away because

I’ve lived my life inside daydream lives.

This is so whimsical, I love it.
Only suggestion is instead of using "lives" at the end of the last sentence: "inside my daydream lives," maybe use a different synonym since you already have life and lived in the same sentence.
Other than that, you can write. All of your poems make me feel like I am actually there.
