NoisesA Story by lenamariThis is a memoir written in a poem. The flowers falling, even more slowly, lifting in the small hands, floating silently as they swing in the wind. There’s a moonless night following close behind, the wind picks up as they splash motionless into drying puddles. How can you say goodbye? There’s a beautiful lie inside. Somewhere in time there was this tiny frame, there was this tiny girl, there was this very large world. I woke up to this strange song, notes leaping up and down. The closer I fell to sleeping; the more gracious it felt. The cigarettes look bad now, The glitter seems ugly now. Why should you abide? The sins taste like water now. We danced, father and daughter. Somewhere, so light, so soft. By this night, the lights, they dimmed. We fell, father and daughter, as the dust mended out broken feet. How can you stay outside? There’s a gorgeous monster inside. How can you dance inside? There’s a ongoing wonderful noise on the other side. © 2010 lenamariAuthor's Note
