The Grief Within

The Grief Within

A Poem by Len
"

The inner experience of profound grief

"

Deep dwells the grief within,

A reservoir of endless pain and  tears;

Darkness shines eerily throughout,

Blinding all my thoughts with sorrows

That rain down inside away from view;

My soul lies shivering in the cold damp

Of perpetual night, drenched in grief, frozen

With memories of a life too briefly lived--

Ugly there, forever dead--and undead.
