Rachel on the London EyeA Poem by DanielleA work in progress...title explains the setting....We are lifted up high above the noise and tension, the shows and construction sites, but the view below is not quite as good as the look of wonder across her face as she drinks in the sight of the city laid out before her like a child’s city of legos, face so intoxicated with her dream it begs to be captured in a photograph begs me to wrap my arms around her and soak up some of the joy for myself. When it’s nearly over she sighs as we descend towards the river, her mother, and our luggage, and our last day here, so I capture this last moment, knowing the next time I see it, it will be a mere reflection in her eyes as she talks of going back. © 2008 DanielleAuthor's Note
