Boy Meets Girl, Girl Meets BoyA Story by awkward writerA series of short stories based on a true love storyDo you believe in coincidences? Fate? Destiny? Soulmates? Whatever you believe, one thing is for certain. Everything happens for a reason. Love moves in mysterious ways. It sounds cliche but let’s be honest, no matter how many relationships you’ve had, they’re all never going to be the same. If you truly learn from the past, it gets better. Now let me tell you a story… a developing love story. Girl “meets” boy, boy “meets” girl. They start talking for a few hours which turned into days that then turned to weeks and now, months. Their daily conversation enabled both of them to form a connection " a deep understanding; something no one would be able to top off. A world that’s theirs, no trespassers. They can talk about anything " politics, science, school, life, family, dreams, problems, etc.,. As they get to know each other, feelings began to change. Are they more than friends? As in, are they best friends? Or more than friends but less than lovers? Both knew, however, that even though they barely started getting to know each other, they are totally not strangers. Nothing really changes if no one breaks the “awkward” silence, crosses the line and make something happen. It can either move the relationship forward or it ends there (well not really end but now you know it can’t go where you’re hoping for). Well, with these two, it went forward. At this moment, their relationship is like any other relationships " they have their shared interests and their differences. And these differences may or may not cause fights between the two of them; if so, they’re quite capable of handling things pretty well. Honesty was the key " no sugarcoating. Be straightforward or don’t even bother saying a word at all. Of course everything comes with a price, so with honesty comes the truth which could hurt the other. How the other responds determine what will happen next. Nonetheless, they don’t let it turn into a full-blown argument. At one point or another, one steps back, apologizes and both parties let it go. Don’t get them wrong though. Not all the time can they fix things maturely, everyone has a little bit of childishness within them that creates a mess. Hence, sometimes things can go differently, but so far, in this story, their childishness only brings more happiness, love, strength and deepen the relationship they have. © 2015 awkward writer |
