PAIN

why is it hard to let go of this pain

and embrace a little of hope

am i this hard to not forgive 

and let the rain wash it away

every inch of the sting scarred my heart

and pain brought anguish to my soul. 

 

darkness reigns in my solitude

no glimpse of the light 

but shadows of the deep

no more love to keep 

no more smile to share

no more, no more left of me!

Short poem gives immense pleasure

As i've said before I'm not all together that big a fan of dark/pain pieces, they almost never come across as anything other than bad angsty/whiney pieces. However, I really liked this one. I liked the phrasing and how you explored through the poem instead of just stating sadness/pain etc... thanks for the read.
