Fallin' In Love

When she walked into a room she no longer seemed afraid 

Her shoulders were broad, holding strong like a cherry blossom tree

Delicate yet stunningly beautiful, charismatic and alluring 

He began to fall in love with this new air about her

The life in her eyes and the softness of her voice overwhelmed him in contentment 

And so it started, he started to feel things he knew he shouldn't feel, but he felt anyway 

Things he never thought of before he thought 

And words he had never dared to say, he found him self triggered to say 

He started to tell her jokes

He pretended to step on her toes and hit her with the sleeves of his jacket 

He looked forward to the moments throughout the day 

When he could see her and where they'd cross paths 

Whether it be on the sandstone sidewalks or to hold the door open for her as she was headed out for a run 

Everyday he looked forward to that smile 

Everyday he grew fonder of it 

But with his growing fondness for her, came the reality that he was committed to another 

And so what ever sparks were starting between them, couldn't last 

It's just what happens when two people with good hearts start to fall for each other
