Chapter One of House of Hades,I'm Falling.

"Percy!" My screams are barely heard over the sounds of falling rocks. Percy and I are falling fast and are pressed together tightly,head falling first. "Annabeth." Percy's soft tone calms my heart and throbbing ankle. "It's okay. We're okay. I promise." I know he is lying but I just hug him closer to my body as we fall farther into the darkness,so far the light isn't even seen. "Just as long as we're together." I know of the danger we are in,titans and cyclops roam around in Tatarus. I choke back a sob,afraid for almost the first time in a few years. I can tell we are falling at breakneck speed,I'm not even opening my eyes. The cackles and whispers saying "The daughter of Athena..." "Son of Posedion" "They will die in pain as we did." Percy tries to flip us around but we are moving so fast turning wasn't even possible. Down and down,hotter and hotter yet I feel so cold. I must've been shivering because Percy just pulls me even closer. As we move closer to the floor my head starts to spin and I feel horrible. The world seems to get even darker than ever and my eyes start to close,my last words were in a mumble,saying,"As long as we're to-" then my world seemed gone.

When I wake up the spots are every where,my pain doesn't cease at all,and to make matters worse the pain is all over me. My ankle that was hurting before hurt like it was dead. Only I could feel it,you usually can't feel when you're dead. "Percy?"I whisper. No awnser."Percy?"I say again,a lot louder. I get no awnser again. Panic begins to rise up in me,where was he? Was I dead and he in Tartus? How were we separated?Wjat happened to 'As long as we're together' I feel around for my Percy and I find him. He is just a foot away from me. Percy is a cold,vigerously shaking,half dead boy. I can feel the blood dripping from his entire face,not including his eyes. He must've landed first,with me on top just making the impact heavier and harder.My grey eyes well up with tears,first the fall then this?My best friend half dead,stuck in Tatarus. What else could go wrong down here? Of course as I ask my self that everything goes wrong. The giant that kept Nico in the jar? Him. Right here. No Leo,no Hazel,no Jason,no Frank,no Piper,and no Percy. Plus no sword. Percy stirs,making the giant look down on him. I freeze in my spot,stuck in fear.
