Death of Hearts

Death of Hearts

A Poem by sunflowerpalette

Stuck in the page of us two
I remember how you've put the glue
I'm stuck, yes, I am
I should've stopped loving you

I traced my fingers on the portrait you've made
the hard acrylics
the gold and blue
I should've stopped loving you

The eyes that talks with depth
your lips talks of death
I promised that I'll never forsake
But still, I should've stopped loving you

The rain I never anticipated
your tears that became my bargain
our song became the lost sound
our words always benefits the doubt

Those paragraphs and nonsense phrases
those cut-out little red hearts that you've pasted
those white rose petals that you left on the doorway
I should've known, I should've stopped loving you

I prayed and sang in different acoustics
I begged with my knees bended
but like the scattered sands blown by the wind
I cried saying, I should've stopped loving you
