Summer

Summer

A Poem by sunflowerpalette

It is clear, it is clear

I'm not supposed to love this lost deer
but sitting near the beach
I should've reached
and entwine my fingers on his

I'm crazy, I'm crazy
It's lame to love him
the ribbon that tied us slowly kills me
the reasons why we can't be pains me

And while he talked of old flames
while I'm sitting there listening to his legend
I couldn't help myself asking 'why?'
of all the people who'll pass by

It's him who can't be mine
and like the stars that shines up so high
he'll leave me breathless 'til night time
summer, oh, summer

Why do you have to quickly pass by?
Why of all the words, we'll say goodbye
I know that somehow this'll only fade
I'm afraid, I'm afraid

I wouldn't see this guy by then
and though I want his lips to linger on mine
and though wanting to feel his body is a sin
I still have to lie

I have to keep our secret 'til I die
that's how I love him
I'll love him 'til I die
