Interstate 5A Poem by LeesahThis road knows me... as I stare in past dreams, driving pass recollections obscured in view the once bare hills…. resembling your face, I am smiling solemn and welcomed swept back in deep sighs of all the been-throughs chafed on mind... I had hoped for happiness to be with you even though I never was Secrets still hushed in swells of yearn I had always carried pictures of you laughing Wind freshed upon my face the sun streams down tangerine air as we engage our give and take honesty from years of wayward silences.... quiet words dispense embrace-less Our stories long, wind and tread beaten as memory bruised pain brushed and rough This road knows me.. again, and There is enough time on this drive down I-5 down far pass my minds regrets I've come to rediscover a piece of soul left here alone now saved.. here in breaths of February air
I have come home returned I am returned back To me
