Me, On Windows

Me, On Windows

A Poem by Leesah

I slip behind in passings

reflected images of me on windows,

grayed...

detached,

my soul engages

more to glass homes

the almost verges

of breaking into

lost shards

losing ground,

losing....

as the sidewalks crumble

sipping away

certainty

and painful breaths

dispell yet in

coarse

acceptance

my body steady

eyes fixated

facing truthful windows

waiting

to change
