Bungee

Bungee

A Poem by Lee Maier-Agthoven

I found myself drawn

to a whirlpool, hypnotised by

its capricious dance, giving in

to its offer to lose myself in the process

of figuring out the maze of its own

enigma;

it's a guilty pleasure.

The eyes are blinded by

unabated spinning, the skin pale

from a thinning blood, the throat in

an asphyxiated state;

but the offer still stands - in return,

I have a kaleidoscope of colours and stars

that can't be found anywhere else.
