A Winter to Come.A Story by Lee WilsonMy interpretation of what is about to come from viewing my surroundings
The maples have dawned there color early again this year and the conifers are laden with cones as well.
The Pacific Northwest has been known to be brutally harsh at times and we haven't even seen it at its worst. My grandma old me how there were once ice flows that came down it an of a time were it was so solid that you could drive across it. She also spoke of it flooding it banks and she has the old movies that show a an island going under water and were part of a group that helped ranchers get there cattle out of there. I see that now the geese are here coming and going, normally there not here here until September. I am going to make a prediction , should I be wrong then I'll take the lumping lol. I'll take the bludgeoning of worded death most graciously but, should I be correct, perhaps you may want to gather food and make preparations while you can better to be prepared then caught off guard. I do hope I am wrong, if not, then any one want to go skiing---in the city of Longview? to bad snow mobiles are illegal on city streets ...eh..wait if we have another 3 feet what streets ? I think the police would have better things to do then chase some one who is getting for there families. © 2009 Lee WilsonAuthor's Note
