lighthouse

A Poem by pressedflowers

you were my lifeline when I went out to sea
the waves were pulling me under
and I could barely breathe
but now
you're on the shore
you cut the rope
and I'm still out here
(I hate you in all of your kindness
I hate myself for my weakness)
keep me in your light a little while longer
I don't want to be lost
 again
it's not what I need
but it's all that I want
still not in the clear
