TangledA Poem by AnuWild hair covered her eyes, pale hands dug into the ground pulling grass from its roots. Green scattered everywhere. Falling… falling… down. Softly, she lifts herself from the ground, breathing though she is barely able to. Her face is covered, hidden away, a put away tragedy. She lifts her head, to gaze at the starts above" How can there be so many? And yet she feels so lonely. Light feet trudge through the shadows, never feeling only seeing. Her hands trace the vines, the branches, only feeling not believing. The trail ends. A fallen star. She jumps. Falling…falling…down. She is free. © 2010 Anu |
