Good Girl

Good Girl

A Poem by leatherandlace
"

A poem about good girls - the ones to be proud of.

"

Isn't it lovely how she smiles - looks - smells - speaks - walks

almost like she barely moves but she moves everything.

Her eyes would smolder

the monomaniacal dogs

with their tongues hanging to their knees

and their fingers creeping to her wasit

but

to look at them, really,

really look,

wouldn't you notice

that her eyes hold nothing for you.

A third eyelid: one that covers her eyes from your round, wide, excited glances

Go talk to the others.
The ones that giggle and playfully tease and flip their hair and pucker their lips and push up their breasts and hike up their skirts

She is beautiful, no doubt

but don't anticipate a kiss before you understand her words

don't interrpret her distance as a space for your body

She stands where she stands for reasons that are her own

And don't try to stand with her unless you can stand them.

This is so clear. I think this is something that is lost in our culture right now.
The casual hooking up, sexualizing themselves, not valuing " courting " is constant.

How about learning the real sensation of holding a hand. REALLY holding it. Sending love.
It reads so true.......

I like the last four lines a lot. I hate when people try and play detective to what your reaction is. ......thats annoying. You address it well.

A lovely poem with a great message, Listen and Observe, body language is the unseen communication between a man and woman. Kudos.
