Realization While in Nature

Realization While in Nature

A Poem by surething

As I sit on the ground below me
I begin to look up at the beautiful sky,
Then look at the waving trees
And wave back and let out a sigh.

As the stars are finally released,
The night covers the entire landscape.
And the drums of time have rolled and ceased,
Making me question the worlds shape.

Being out and in the open
Makes be realize how big the world is.
Yet reality is back when it seems broken,
And man comes to take back what is un-rightfully his.

Then the next day, the cycle starts over
And maybe, just maybe, I can find a lucky four-leaf clover.

Beautifully realized words. Sometimes you just need to sit and look at what is in front of us and what we have done to it in the name of progress, to realise that it isn't really progress at all. Modern life doesn't allocate time for such frivolity as watching and wondering, as their is no profit in it and therefore pointless. They couldn't be further from the truth.
Great write. Thought provoking words.
