Moonlight

Moonlight

A Poem by Le Sapphire

I wandered alone in the shadows of the past

A lonesome feeling shredded my heart

The sweet memories we have shared

The melody and symphony of our love

You may have been forgotten, banished

And left nothing behind

Reminiscing in the shadows of the past

The memories that cannot be banished in my mind

The shadows of the promises you have made

The promises of love which delighted my heart

The promises which gave me courage and strength

Like the beautiful stars twinkling above

Whose light had gone when the moonlight comes
