Cry me a drop

Cry me a drop of rain

To fall and end pain

To glisten and shiver

To drip and quiver

 

Cry me a drop of snow

To conceal what's below

To blanket and hide

What happiness died

 

Cry me a drop of ice

To shine and entice

To unwittingly spear

Who knows not of fear

 

Cry me a drop of mist

To false reality twist

To soften and glow

What it won't show

 

Cry me a drop of water

To give life or slaughter

To cloak beneath names

Its kind or evil aims
