Sensory Overload

Sensory Overload

A Poem by Leah Mayes

a window, wet glass draped in slumber

can you hear me, with your eyes?

revise... the blushing color of eight,

no lies, they leave a bitter taste, like paste

remember infinity? an apothecary of seduction

cinema alluring the hunger of Venus

and Adonis runs into a pallette of corruption

the heat of appeasement tastes round

and sounds explode into a myriad of light

displaying emotions beyond perception

the smell of balance... fresh as daisies

trembling in plausible sight
