The Cold Ones

The Cold Ones

A Poem by Leah Maldonado

Stuck in a dreadful Purgatory
Not of living or the dead
Thoughts blocked by cold blood
Trickling in your head

Unseen by the ignorant masses
No one knows you're there
The sadness of the living dead
Nothing disappears

The pillage of the afterlife
seizes all control
Nothing is left
For the paranormal soul

The ill-fated only see them
In the heat of their last gasp
The victims of the cold ones
Enter a realm
Of the past.
