Sidewalk hold me up now

Sidewalk hold me up now

A Poem by Leah Maldonado
"

the way I feel on a walk home, pretty random.

"

Why can I not put words on the funny little

Sensation inside my nose,

WHen I walk and the rain is barely touching me

But I return drenched in a million minature

rain...buds?

It smells like green days when the sun is out

Yet the sky is a concrete slab

Crumbling onto me

But I close my eyes

And I'm in the loving arms of summer days

But my sweater wrapped arms and cold

And I'm sort of confused.

I'm always confused.

Repeat.

Sometime when you are confused, join us in our state,
the state of confusion.
I ran accross you where you 14 yrs. of age, 7 years ago.
That makes you almost legal---- Of course by legal I mean
voting age----O.K ?
Glad you are still around. Drop in again.

this one I think is my favorite. thee thought's are always subtle, the meanings barely expressed, leaving the reader open to interpretation. it's self-referential, as well. which may be the first time I've ever seen that in a poem. congrats

gravity attacks confound me as well.

Actually enjoy the randomness! Just beautiful imagery that captures the notion of days in sun and rain so well.

This is different. Ends abruptly. Makes me wonder about the girl walking on the sidewalk.
I understand 'Repeat'. The scene, like a song, is played over and over with the days that go past - till the sun shines brightly again.
It's good. The type of piece to have coffee conversations about. Like it.

Aww, I liked this. The sentiment was very endearing and unique. Your imagery was very good, and the way it flows, is overal well. Maybe a few tweeks here and there and it'll be perfect. Good job - keep at it.
