to yearn;

to yearn;

A Poem by gael

To yearn is no different than to desire. Yet, we often mistake this involuntary act of longing for a manifestation of love and affection. However, our understanding of such concepts could not stray further from truth. To love is to express undeniable fondness and devotion to another, and perhaps, to oneself. To love tenderly is not to yearn intensely, but to give unconditionally. To offer oneself wholly into the hands of another. To love truly is to commit the most selfless act in all creation.

Some may find themselves longing deeply for another. Yet, without knowledge or connection, it is not love one has discovered, but merely desire in its purest form. Love unfound is nothing more than desire ceaselessly folding into itself, devolving into despair and delusion. Limerence: it is raw and deeply passionate, yet it remains far from true love. It is a deeply rooted yearning, for recognition, for reciprocity, and for actualization. It is a cold and distant thing, for love is not. Love, in all its facets, is unbridled and indiscriminate warmth: warmth that transcends, accepts, and encompasses.

I think we should collaborate. I like your style. Likewise, I am looking for a person with philosophical inclination along with a good grasp of English grammar. My grammar is poor. But my mind is immensely creative and strong.
