Unbreakable

It was only then, sitting in the doctor's office after hearing that the treatment didn't work, that she, the unbreakable girl, broke; she dropped her fake smile and whispered, "I just can't fight this battle any longer" as the tears rolled down her cheeks.

Puts things in perspective... We all have our "breaking point"; or maybe "tipping point" when the tears must flow and the rage must scream. Strange to think how others go through such similar emotions as we do and yet we feel so all alone.

Thank you for your support. I think that the loneliness we feel is due to the fact that it's not easy to talk about difficulties. People would rather laugh and be merry than cry and feel depressed. That's also the reason the saddest people often smile the brightest.

She is unbreakable because not once during her battle with cancer has she cried or gotten down-hearted. It takes a strong (unbreakable) person to do that.
