What you taught me

I wrote this poem a few years back. I lost record of exactly when I wrote it. It is undedicated. It can be found on poetry.com under Alexander M. Le.

My heart felt your fall.
My soul heard the pitter patter of your tears.
My hands reach out to crush your fears.
In the mist of all your sadness.
I stand tall to get rid of all your surrounding madness.
I do this because you kissed me.
Your lips shut uttered help me.
Your eyes whispered comfort me.
Your touch instilled strength in me.
With those actions I chose not to look away.
I look straight ahead with a helping hand.
I do this all for you because you taught me how to be a man.
