Becoming

Becoming

A Poem by Lauren

Broken inside my mind,

A misstep slipped into a thousand shattered bones.

Tongue twisted in knots.

Who would ask. . .

Could a man become a monster.

If the evil was already inside of him?

Tongue twisted and shattered like my bones... This was deadly in execution... A single misstep while reading could lead to becoming a monster... IF it was already inside you... But how can we ever be sure...

Good question, really. I suppose the man could try to be a 'nicer' monster than that evil inside! The second line has a lot of 's's, quite difficult to say it, a bit of a tongue twister. These words, tongue twist, are then echoed in the third line. Very effective.
