The Mind's Truth

The Mind's Truth

A Poem by Lauren
"

To every Dark part of our lives, there is a truth to its existence. 2 of 2

"
As a lake cannot be
Without find sand,
To finger its waves through,
And give sustenance to its life,
You are meaningful.

As a cloud cannot be,
Without rain
Keeping its form,
Wetting the dry land,
You are beautiful.

As the abyss cannot be
Without its pioneer
To lead it away,
From straying hearts,
You are not without a purpose.

Fantastic imagery. Wonderful how you compare our purpose with nature's purpose - very creative. You did a great job with this. I enjoyed it.

I liked the logic of the words. You are correct. We need reason and purpose to know a worthwhile life. I liked the examples used in the poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I haven't! I'll check that one out in the morning for you. :)
Three beautiful and elegant statements, so simple in their saying, yet what they say is everything and all, our entirety of existence and having the ability to see our part in the cosmos, without ever being able to illuminate more than a fragment at a time. We spend our time, connecting and associating with others, yet our inner yearnings never diminish, as we constantly try to unlock the doors of our perception and being. Love this piece. Just because we don't know the basics, doesn't mean we should ever stop questioning.

i certainly like the depth of your poetry. we're all here living or surviving in 'tis world but for what?? -- for finding the purpose of life. some have already found it. some... craving to find it. but whatever it's all 'bout, we're all being lost in one's mind & incessantly longing for the truth of life that's hardly found, perhaps, ur poetry makes much sense... esp. the way you've penned it around. nice imagery!
