Listen and See

Listen and See

A Poem by Lauren
"

More or less a poem to invigorate thought and at the same time not make complete sense.

"
A broken home,
And a curious mind,
Is the deadliest poison
Of the human kind.

We put ourselves here,
Between the wall,
And between the blade
Where brave men fall.

Life was easy,
When it was not,
There we could forget,
What we forgot.

Now no one knows,
No one cares,
All our tries,
Was but heavens fare.

If we tried,
So hard to see,
If we listened,
To the silence of humanity.

Broken homes
Would become sanctuaries,
Curious minds
Would become intelligence freed.

From all life's pains,
And all the worlds beatings.
Poison would be drinkable,
And the world would be breathing.

Right. Good analogy to explain yourself.
A beautiful thought brought by the not so beautiful that life has to offer. Isn't it always the way, that those voices silenced most by the world are the ones with the most to say? Some wonderful lines here, although if there were to be a winner, it would be "Life was easy, when it was not." Such a simple statement, made complex by us all knowing exactly what that thought means to us all. Beautifully captured, and ended perfectly.
