Do the last four verses suggest that the world is better off without us?

It's to say, that if we did those things, the world would become better when we listen to others and see them for who they are and not what they do.
You mean the poison of this world would not affect us?

It's almost like just a plain glass of water, us as a society take it and put all these drugs into it because it's not good enough and we need to make it better. By doing so, we make it poisonous, and when someone drinks it, they become ill. But when we leave the water alone, and instead, stop putting so many things in there to make it better, (if we do put things in it, think of it as natural fruit infused water) it's not deadly any more and it becomes once again drinkable.
A beautiful thought brought by the not so beautiful that life has to offer. Isn't it always the way, that those voices silenced most by the world are the ones with the most to say? Some wonderful lines here, although if there were to be a winner, it would be "Life was easy, when it was not." Such a simple statement, made complex by us all knowing exactly what that thought means to us all. Beautifully captured, and ended perfectly.

It's so true, life has it's beautiful moments, and it's very ugly moments. And yes, I was once there, kept silent behind the curtain, wanting to speak but never able to.
The sentence "Life was easy, when it was not." Was actually my favorite as well. Even though, when you read it, it's almost curious as to how that can be, it's so true. Life is easy when it's not, because you can forget the hard parts and no one will reprimand you for it. Life becomes easier when it becomes harder, because everyone around you says it's okay to give up and forget.
