Dip

Dip

A Poem by lbalevre522
"

A short poem inspired by my boyfriend's grandfather, who told me he would ask his wife to dip her finger into his coffee, because of her sweetness.

"

Dip your finger into my coffee

Since you have all the sweetness I need.

Dip your finger into my tea

To add purity to this hated world

Dip your finger into my water

To enhance my life more than I will ever have

Keep your hand next to mine

To provide me warmth on my darkest days.

Dip your finger into my coffee

Because I wouldn't want the sunrise

To be any different.

A fine piece, flows naturally and without obstruction, however always make sure punctuation is prevalent as it helps to guide the reader, and that allows us to really connect with the message of the prose.
