Don't Lose Heart

Don't Lose Heart

A Poem by Une coccinelle

Don’t lose heart.

Take a step and hold your breath as life soars overhead. Billowing clouds touching treetops, morphing moments in the sky. Freedom welling from within defying all that has been to spend time spinning in the rain. The earth below a kindred soul with all its paths unmarked. Don’t worry where it takes you, begin the journey that awaits you, in this vast playground all around. It’s ups and downs, foraged and found, will leave you wet from head to toe. Yet, bearing the burdens and staying determined is exactly how you’ll grow. The distance may seem far apart but alas it’s been said, don’t lose heart. For what awaits around the bend is far greater than one can apprehend. So go the distance, find your freedom, mark your path through every season with the forest as your home.
