Rekindled Fire

Rekindled Fire

A Poem by Une coccinelle

A sleepless night as friends reunite after years of being apart. The spark long ago still aglow in the embers of their hearts. The journeys of life, over the years, led two paths veering separate ways. Only to find them realign; illuminating time’s most valuable art. Like oil upon a canvas, color enriching truth, one can’t be too ambitious or the image will distort. Slowly setting, not forgetting even the smallest of detail. The story that’s unfolding, holding patience as the virtue. Without any expectations for what may come of it, they laugh as they danced and took a chance to find the fire anew.
