New Years Kiss

A New Years kiss left promises on her lips of a life she had let go. Little did he know the rose he chose that night under the stars. The one amongst the bramble, the ground she stands unshakable, whose heart isn’t pieced but whole. Wisdom, discernment, mistakes she has learned from along the narrow road. While dashingly handsome, famous among them, he lacks the heart of a true kindred soul. He is a seeker, still seeking life’s true meaning, a richness that never ends. While she hopes that he finds it, amongst tags, beats, and side bits miles away from home; until then, she’ll simply remember, the night of firework splendor, and the kiss of a comedian.
