Lessons Through Life

As the years go past I stop to ask myself what lessons have I learned. I laugh as I think of when I was young, the answer probably being none. But as I’ve grown, the strength is shown in all that has transpired. From sneaking out and kissing boys to wisdom’s blessing and graceful poise. The art of knowing who to trust, running through trees yet seeing the forest, making friendships truly everlasting, and faith above all else. What has been the best of them? I guess it would have to be: that what happened before sharpened the core of who I was made to be. It’s always there, as part of my story, but shouldn’t be seen as derogatory. It’s mine and will remain that way. Growing richer in time like a good cabernet. It’s bouquet of notes finally reached in time. For one grape alone couldn’t make good wine.
