sinking stone

sinking stone

A Poem by lazylines

You are lost and alone

and happily prone

to sinking like a stone

A direct approach is too long a rope

a broken heart at the end

worn like a broach when there was still hope

ideas break when they bend

you fear what to say

so its here that you stay

moving on is moving away

infect a roach with a feeling of hope

a token start from a friend

in we encroach on its soul with our dope

ideas begin to bend

we’re choosing to stay

sun moving the day

moving on and moving away

I am lost and alone

and happily prone

to rolling like a stone
