desperation revelation

desperation revelation

A Poem by lazylines

The heart flutters in the moment

Traction pulls pebbles from beneath your feet

releasing them to seek your beginning

down the mountain

Looking briskly over a life with your minds eye

you scramble for a foothold

the conclusion “just too heavy”

is instant

All of the things urge you from the summit

You covered yourself with them until it was all you could see in the mirror

You lost sight of yourself and didn’t know it until now

when you’re sliding

watching the abyss grow

with honestly

only hope

You consider fantasy desperately
